A letter to my Future Me

Dear FutureMe, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETY. YOU'RE 30. THE BIG 30. I hope it doesn't scare you. Or make you sad. But instead fills you with so much joy and gratitude for all the love and happiness in your life. Be thankful. For yourself, because you're healthy, and you're quite awesome too ! For your family. Your mom, with whom you have such a cool relationship, open and honest. Your two sister, one older, one younger, who you love so much, even though you don't show it enough - or ever for that matter. (take a break right now. stop reading. send them both a text. okay. resume reading.) I hope your relationship with your dad improved. I really hope so. If not, that's too bad, because I think you both are missing out on something good. But that's life. You can't force people to love you and be in your life. That's okay. And if it's not okay right now, it will be. You're strong. You can overcome anything. I hope you're also grateful for your friends. Do you realise how awesome they are ? You're lucky. Read it again. Sink it in. YOU ARE LUCKY. And loved. And that's enough to live a great life. What happened these last three years ? What is your job right now ? I hope you work with women's rights. That's something that really stirs you up. And makes your heart beat. Read. Keep reading all the material available on the subject. You never can read or learn enough. Have you travelled a bit ? I'm sure you have, you can't be in one place too long. On the list is : Vietnam, Cambodge, Indonesia, Morocco, Austria, Turkey, Scotland. I hope you've been to all these and many more. Be grateful you are able to travel. I also hope you took mom travelling to a European country for her sixtiest birthday. I'm sure she loved it ! And you did too. How are you doing ? Are you living life with serenity ? Have you found an equal partner to do life with ? Somebody interesting, honest, caring, and sweet ? Somebody fierce and brillant, not afraid to take a stand ? Somebody that you can love freely ? Somebody to call your best friend ? I hope so. And if you haven't yet, don't be afraid to manifest it. It will come. In time.
