Hey you!
You made it. I had faith that you would, but I know it's been a tough road for you. You're still recovering, but if you're reading this now you know that you have kept it up through the pain and through the days when you thought it would never get better.
When you were hospitalized, I think that's when you hit your breaking point. Thinking back on it now, it's so shocking that you ever felt the way that you did, but you're out of the hospital and back into the real world, and I could not be more proud of you.
You've made it through therapy and medication, hospitals and panic attacks, mood swings and depression- and now you're here! Hopefully doing something that you love and having a good life.
I honestly have had some doubts about you. If you asked me a year ago, I would tell you that you wouldn't be alive to reach 25- and you proved me wrong, sister! I'm so happy that you proved me wrong, because it proved that you are stronger than depression and anxiety and OCD and whatever crap life through at you. We never thought you would make it- but here you are, reading this letter.
25- geez, that's incredible. I know you've had many more life experiences by now, and all I hope for is that you have learned from them, and used them to further shape yourself!
You have harmed yourself in the past but I really hope that today, you love yourself. You deserve it :) even though some days it's not going to feel like it.
Happy birthday, kid. I love you always.
-Your 14 year old self
