Dear Future Self, 4/29/2020
Right now I am living through the pandemic of 2020. Every day is different from the previous one. At the beginning of the quarantine, we would gather by the T.V and watch the 2 pm update from the president or Governor Mike Dewine. We don’t do that anymore but the T.V is always on. To me it has just become background noise and nothing more. I currently am doing online schooling because all gatherings of 10 or more people are banned. I won’t be going back to regular school either because it has been canceled for the rest of the year. Even with that, I would still consider myself lucky and that is because some students have had their year cut short and there is the possibility they may have to repeat some classes. But like almost every American I am stuck at home but I have not just been wasting time like most. I have chosen to become more active. How I am doing that is by going outside and walking the dogs or taking a bike ride around the neighborhood. I also have found a ton of workout videos for free. So I am doing really good and have not gone stir crazy but sadly that is not true for Jordyn. This year is her senior year in High school so she is missing out on a lot. She has become stressed and just completely drained not to mention she has been babysitting a rambunctious one-year-old boy. However, when this is all over I believe the world will become one for a short while but I don’t believe that will last long because at some point someone is going to point the finger. I also think that this will not be the last time we see Corona but for now I get to stay at home and hope for the best.
