A letter from April 28th, 2017

Dear FutureMe, right now Im just a bored stellies student sitting in my dorm room while all of your friends, gibson, KK, Tk, Bron (yes you remember bron and how it felt to see her with jordan), and jordan are at that **** cheese and wine festival you should have gone to, to say howzit to janeke. keller, de wet and craig are in hermanus on an adventure you shoud have taken. I dont know what you have become now and what you are doing, but all I can say is, dont forget about the simple things. remeber your roots and who made you who you are today. you can have all the money in the world and be as successful as you want, but thats nothing without those who love you. right now I take people for granted and always want it done my way. hopefully that changed. please just phone or message everyone i just metioned and simply just ask how they are and thank them for what they have done for you. phone mom and dad and madi and just talk, tell them whats happening. dont forget who you are at heart. youre a people person who lives to please others, and you love freedom. plan a trip or an adventure wiith your best mates and just go and have a joll. do all of the things you havent and wish you could. youre the boss which also makes me the boss so you dont have a choice in any of this. take these few (hopefully wise) words of a broke, stressed out freshman who is having the time of his life being able to go and explore and see this country with his friends, and do something worthwhile. you and i both know we dont care so much about money, although a 69 mustang or impala wouldnt hurt, all we care about is making a name for yourself in a way that makes people enjoy your company and want to be around you. be the man you always wished you could be, and if you ever feel like youre straying from that path, just think "what would dad do?" because you and i both know he is the wisest man to have ever lived. just dont forget who you are and what defines you as a man and possibly as a father. you are a kind, caring and passionate person who always too **** scared to show it. dont let your block to emotions get in the way. go out and do something today that makes you nervous or scared and love it. just think back on all of the good times youve had with all of these amazing people in your life. jordans juke, your longboard, your trips to capetown with the squad, finally getting to go home and see your family. make everything worthwhile you old fart, live life to the fullest bro, you and i both know you want to. and dont you judge me on this bad language, you and i both know im in college right now and nobodies got time for that! now you go reflect on how youve changed since ive sent this email and decide, is the man youve become the man you wanted to see looking back at you in the mirror and a man you could be proud of ? once youve done that go out, do what ive said and makes the changes happen. dont sit in an office or at home being sad for yourself, go out and take the world by storm and do it in a way that makes people love you for it. youve got this big guy, now go and wreck it bro. ive got your back no matter what man ! sincerely the one and only legend !
