A letter from the past | Love letters to myself - hosted by Briony Liber Coaching
To my dearest nerviezee,
I love you and I want to take some time in this letter to tell you what I love about you!
I love you for understanding my charector and the type of people I feel comfortable around.
I acknowledge your presence in all the activities I do, in the decisions I make. Where I need to show up and be recognized, you tend to step a level upper and ruin the moment. You come so loud and convince me that being quiet is an even more safer option.
I have been listening to you all this time, but it didn't really work out for me. If it wasn't for my technical competencies, I wouldn't be where I am now. You playing safe will not get me any further than where I am now. Listening to you and allowing you to take the lead will destroy me.
Unfortunately for you, I am now demanding control, as of today you are in the back seat! Fasten your seat belt and do not move.
I have to do this because where I am going, requires boldness and confidence. Unfortunately you do not have those qualities.
I appreciate you wanting to keep me safe but please understand that for me to reach my goals, I have to come out of the shell, get out of my comfort zone, and go out there and show up.
I don't think you see yourself doing that but it's ok. You are being you. Stay nervous at the back. I am the captain of this boat now. Ngyabangena!
